Curriculum

Broad and Challenging Curriculum
Aligned with Common Core State and Archdiocesan Standards, St. Margaret Mary School’s curriculum includes language arts, math, science, social studies, health, and religion. Our program is further enriched with instruction in Spanish, computers, physical education, music, and art.

Small Class Sizes
With an average teacher-to-student ratio of 1:16, students receive the attention they need to reach their full potential. Teachers are able to recognize students who are working at different levels and practice differentiated learning strategies when needed.

Engaging Early Childhood Program
Preschool and kindergarten students are fully integrated into the school. In a caring, engaging, and playful environment, children learn social skills that help them build rewarding relationships, developmentally appropriate academic skills, and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. Like their older peers, our young students’ days are enriched with classes in Spanish, computer skills, art, physical education, and music.

Middle School Science Curriculum Exceeds National Science Education Standards
Mastery in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, (STEM) is critical in today’s modern world. St. Margaret Mary has adopted the Science Education for Public Understanding Program (SEPUP), an issues-oriented and inquiry-based middle school science curriculum. Developed in conjunction with the National Science Foundation, SEPUP prepares students for future challenges through hands-on individual and team-based exploration of current issues.
