Teaching Philosophy

“As a teacher, my goal is to foster a love of learning and to help every single student reach his/her learning potential. Students will practice responsibility, strive to do their best, and take pride in their work.! I encourage students to approach learning with a “can do” attitude. One of the most important “life lessons” I want my students to learn is to be resilient by caring for themselves and others.”

Teaching Philosophy
“Becoming a teacher is such an incredible journey. You get to interact with learners of all types, explore young minds, and gain insight on your own experiences as a learner and educator. I have had so many wonderful opportunities to work with great kids in different school and after school settings. The most important thing about teaching to me is being passionate and present everyday. If you are not interested or easily approachable to your students, there will not be a solid relationship to build and learn on. You have to be passionate about what you are doing in order to spark interest in learning and help communicate to your students how important their education is. If you are not positive and excited about what you are doing, how will your students be?”

Why I Teach at St. Margaret Mary School
“I chose St. Margaret Mary School because of the great reputation it has from teachers, parents, students, and the community.”

My Interests Outside of the classroom
“Outside of the classroom, I am interested in running and scrapbooking!”
