Last Day of School Activities
For our last day at St. Margaret Mary School, many fun activities were arranged. We started our day with a Prayer Service in which we remembered all the good things with which God has blessed us. After the Opening Prayer Service, we dedicated the Rock which represents our love for St. Margaret Mary School.
Rock Dedication and Balloon Launch
God of Wisdom,
We thank You for all of the gifts You have given us throughout this school year. As we come to the end of this school year, we give You our gratitude for the good things You have done for us.
We ask You to bless us with Your love, and we ask You to bless this rock that holds our school’s name on it. We love our school and cherish our time we have spent at St. Margaret Mary’s.
May this rock be a reminder of the SMM family for all the years to come. We want to send up our balloons with our prayers.
God Bless all of the students, teachers, staff, and families forever.

After the Rock dedication and balloon launch, everyone went into the Activity Center to enjoy JG’s Reptile Road Show. Jim Galeno fascinated us with his variety of exotic creatures. You can visit his website at www.JGsReptileRoadShow.com for more information. Please watch the slide show below to see how our students – and faculty – interacted with these amazing creatures.
We then enjoyed a delicious ice cream treat and a visit from the local Chicago Fire Trucks.
We ended the morning by blessing each member of our school community.
Each class has shared many things this year.
We are linked by common tasks and time together.
We will say good-bye and end our year.
Lord bless each student, teacher, and staff member, especially those who we will not see again.
Keep each person in your care during the coming summer, during the next school year, and throughout each person’s life.
Guide our steps and strengthen our hearts until we meet once again.
God Bless St. Margaret Mary School forever! ”
